A drive to Surfers Paradise from Sydney seems to be daunting. The question is, why drive when you can fly. It's a question to be answered someplace else. It was a first. Yours truly driving from Sydney to the Gold Coast. It tested my patience, it was, an experience I could not easily forget. But, that is not my story.
Along the fast paced, in certain routes slow, Pacific Highway in Coolongolook NSW is a food joint, that not only serves great food, it projects an atmosphere of how a laid back country town should be. It's called Salty Dog.
Variety, you have a wide range of choices, I had Fish and Chips and and half a dozen Oysters Mornay. Seldom do I, finish a plate but this was gone in a heartbeat, it's an exaggeration off course, but you know what I mean.
You may or may not do the drive, but if you do make sure to take a break and enjoy the drive. And if you so happen to get that feeling of hunger and you are in the vicinity,
Drop in and you be the judge.
